We want to hear from you...
Governor Corzine has proposed across-the-board furloughs and wage freezes for state workers as a means of closing the state budget. It is our belief that state workers on the frontlines are in the best position to identify the state-mandated waste, fraud and abuse within their own departments.
Government waste can consist of poorly designed programs, mismanagement of resources, mandates that make no sense or any other examples of inefficient spending that affect New Jersey's already overburdened taxpayers.
This site will serve to accept reports of waste, fraud and abuse from state employees who would rather cut the fat of state government. Those who wish to remain anonymous can simply type 'anonymous' into the fields below. Your anonymity will be strictly protected.
For suggestions that are implemented and save the State money or avoid costs, the New Jersey Employee Awards Committee had previously granted a cash award based on the savings. Currently, the program is not funded; however, employees may be eligible for awards in the form of paid days off.
All good businesses provide their employees with performance incentives, and we feel that New Jersey would do well to follow that example. To be eligible for an award, applicants must fill out an Employee Suggestion Form. For more information on the awards available, please click here.
Of course, we are also glad to accept reports from all New Jersey citizens. Please submit your reports using the fields below.
We've received many useful suggestions!
Please keep them coming!
Assemblywoman Caroline Casagrande pledges to investigate all claims of waste and will push for all prudent suggestions to be implemented.
